Custom Design Implantology (CDI) was established by renowned dental technician Peter Vryonis in 1994.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Peter decided to find a way to improve standard implant components that often resulted in less than ideal outcomes.

That year, CDI pioneered the first ever one-piece custom-made titanium abutment (Melbourne Abutment). Available in both straight and angulated forms, it was extremely successful. Most major implant companies soon recognised the importance of the technique, altering their approach from UCLA cast-on abutments to the same all-in-one titanium abutment.

In 2007, CDI launched a new technique that utilises the Position Replicator®. The technique allows users to design their own Ti custom abutment for most implant systems, replacing the need for expensive CAD/CAM solutions.

Today, CDI offers a wide range of custom-made products to technicians, dentists and surgeons who require standard and non-standard custom implant components that are manufactured with quality, precision and accuracy and supplied at a competitive price.
